Giving back to our community…
Here at Triangle Food and City Tours, we deeply value the spirit of giving and are committed to supporting our local community. We do that by giving to and partnering with organizations who are making a difference in the Triangle area every day. Here are some ways we have found to give back.
Inter-Faith Food Shuttle
The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is working to solve hunger and food insecurity in the Triangle area, through hunger relief, community health education, farms & gardens, and more. They recover 6 million pounds of food that would otherwise go to waste and provide food assistance through programs like Backpack Buddies, Summer Meals Food Truck, Grocery Bags for Seniors, and much more.
We like getting our hands dirty volunteering at various IFFS Triangle Farms. When purchasing a food tour ticket on our website, guests can make a donation to IFFS and we match the total donations quarterly. Click here to learn more about the amazing work that they are doing and how to volunteer and make a difference.
Second Chance Pet Adoptions
Second Chance Pet Adoptions, a non-profit, works to find forever homes for homeless pets as well as educate on how to be a responsible pet owner. In the fall of 2020, we will host the first fundraising event called Barks, Burgers and Brews – Dogs Allowed! (add a link to this tour) where guests and pups alike get to enjoy exploring downtown Raleigh’s food scene (dogs eat too) and spend time together ending at Moore Square Park for fun, games and contest.
